Otherwise great looking board, placement for ports and such it a vast improvement over the old asrock board i came from. Cons: for the price and having a gen 4 m. Overall Review: do your home work if you're getting a ryzen series chip, otherwise should have zero issues with the board! Cons: Not really a con, but was an issue for me.. SATA slots. I mirror my drives so I was short one slot for my BluRay player. Overall Review: This is my 6th or 7th MSI board having had some bad experiences many years ago with other brands. I guess I've become an MSI fanboy in regards to boards since they've never let me down knock knock. I can always rely on their build quality, gamer rich features and compatibility with the other components I tend to use Sapphire, Corsair, G. Skill, etc.
I started my build late at night after a long workday so I wasn't at the top of my game. I took my time and made sure to pay attention to everything but when I went to boot the system the first time I got nothing.
Powered on but nothing on the monitor. One look in the case and I saw the little LED lit up on the board, looked in the book.. Closer examination I could see one side wasn't completely seated hardly noticeable. Pushed it in, reboot and bingo!
Lift Off! If it didn't have the EZ Diagnostics who knows how many more hours I'd been up trying to figure it out. Pros: All of the features on the motherboard, to which I have connected, have functioned properly. Cons: The three x4 short expansion slots and the lower M. According to the specs shown in the Owner's Manual, the upper x4 expansion slot will be unavailable if the middle x4 slot is occupied. The right-hand mounting screw for the heat sink for the upper M. This could be problematic if your case is equipped with a pilot stud in this location instead of a stand-off.
I solved this problem by removing the pilot stud and screwing the top-side heatsink stand-off into a nut on the underside of the motherboard. Seriously i jave the same problem. Nahmimic also tells me that my driver or system cant cope with it. I tried to install it from Windows store, with all the latest driver installed, but it still said that my device is incompatible??
MSI was wrong on that one back then. Yes after I filed a complain to MSI, for a week they ignored me, when I pushed again yesterday they finally removed it from the site.
Problem is I bought Mortar just because of Nahimic and now turn out it doesn't have that feature. What can I do? It didn't work for me sadly Thank you for your help really. Dec 4, 1, 2, I installed the Armory crate app and let it download the drivers as updates are released. Still no Bluetooth connection with my phone or other device. I'm beginning to think that my devices are not compatible with the computer. One is my LG Fiesta 2 running Android 7. I have Bluetooth turned on, and it is paired with a media controller Chubby Buttons and works fine with it.
